‘Lights of Hope’ to Shine in Downtown Paso Robles This Holiday Season

Cancer Support Community’s Lights of Hope will shine in downtown Paso Robles City Park

– When Mrs. Claus flips the switch on Friday, November 26, more than 35,000 lights will be on during the annual downtown tree lighting ceremony. This year marks the 10th annual Lights of Hope Paso, a special fundraising event to benefit the central California cancer support community. Over 35,000 lights will turn on and shine at night until February 20, 2022.

“We are delighted that the downtown tree lighting ceremony is taking place this year and that the lights are twinkling throughout the winter season, highlighting our mission ‘so that no one is alone in the face of cancer’ said Elena, chair of the Lights of Hope committee. Clark. “Our hope is that the lights bring joy to the community, while honoring cancer patients, survivors and those we have lost. “

Seventeen trees will be lit this year and sponsorships are available, according to Clark. Last year’s tree sponsors included Clark and Lacey, Niner Wine Estates, Thom Schulz in honor of Laura Coats, Radiology Associates, Coastal Radiation Oncology, Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance, and a sponsored tree in the honor and memory of Dr. Berry Foran.

“Lights of Hope is our way of helping beautify the city park for the holidays while also raising funds and promoting our programs in a unique and special way,” said Clark. “We invite businesses and individuals to honor their loved ones by sponsoring a bulb, a branch or an entire tree. Support for this event allows us to continue to provide free social and emotional support services to local families affected by cancer.

Paso’s Lights of Hope is a joint venture with the City of Paso Robles and the Paso Robles Downtown Main Street Association.
