Himachal artisans to have better livelihoods and income | New Design Resource Center

Union Trade Minister Piyush Goyal recently announced that a Weavers Services and Design Resource Center will be established in Kullu District, Himachal Pradesh.

This center is set up to encourage attractive artisanal products from the state in addition to providing a better platform for the export of these products to the international market.

Himachal Pradesh has many talents and huge potential with magical hands that weave beautiful art products.

Therefore, under “Seva & Samarpan Abhiyan”, the Indian government called for proactive initiatives to modernize the design, quality, packaging and marketing of handicrafts. In addition to ensuring better prices for these products on the international market for the benefit of weavers.

The forthcoming Weavers Services and Design Resource Center in Himachal Pradesh will promote skill upgrading and training of artisans, while introducing modern equipment for better production.
