Back to school news

Housing Services has planned a move-in weekend from September 1 to 18. As for the past two years, COVID-19 health and safety protocols will be in place. Students must be up to date with their COVID vaccinations and boosters and must test negative prior to arrival.
Students will be assigned pre-assigned check-in times for their move-in with staggered arrivals by location and day to alleviate wait times and traffic. Up to two guests may accompany students and all must wear face coverings while indoors on campus. For more information, go to

Around 4,500 students and guests are expected on Friday, 5,700 on Saturday and 7,200 on Sunday. Registration, key distribution and COVID testing will take place in Lot 30. Approximately 8,500 students will live on campus this fall.

Traffic is expected to be heavy in and around campus this weekend.

Catering services will begin serving meals at Residential Restaurant Lothian on September 11 and Residential Restaurant Glasgow on September 17 for limited hours. Regular meal service hours will begin on September 18. For hours and locations of other dining venues, visit
